Mark Carleton-Smith (General Sir Mark Carleton-Smith KCB CBE) is a retired General and former Head of the British Army.
During a 40-year career Mark commanded the SAS and was Director UK Special Forces serving in the Middle East, the Balkans, SE Asia, Afghanistan,
Africa and South America. Prior to commanding the British Army, he was Defence's Director of Operations and Military Strategy responsible for all British military operations worldwide.
He now sits on several Boards and chairs a charitable trust. He also acts as an international advisor to the Warsaw Security Forum.
